Abstract
ABSTRACT
In certain cases, it can happen that there is a complex number of something real. This happens when the logarithm is negative. In the Cobb Douglas production function, if the output is profit, then in a loss position the value is negative. To solve this equation, Ramanujan's formula will be used. The application of the Cobb Douglas equation combined with Ramanujan's formula due to the negative numbers of the logarithmic equation is carried out using a case study. The case of the retail company JC Penny, which suffered a minus value loss, is used in this simulation.
