Abstract
Flash cards have been well-known as one of supplementary materials EFL teachers utilize in their EFL classroom with their many profound benefits as stated in the literature. However, those with local culture themes are rather rare to find. On the other hand, many have shed light on how important it is to integrate local cultural elements in EFL classroom. Therefore, creating ones is necessary. This paper describes the teacher’s evaluation and the students’ attitude on the implementation of local culture-themed flashcard games in EFL classroom. An EFL teacher and 75 students in a junior high school in Tasikmalaya, Indonesia, will be involved in this study. The data will be obtained from questionnaires, observations, and interviews. This study is expected to benefit both English language learning and the insertion of local culture in EFL classroom.
