Abstract


In Indonesia, the demand of “the younger you start, the better you will get” toward mastering English earlier on their children become widely accepted. This trend has created an urgent need to design and implement instructional approaches and school structures that will ensure the students thrive and achieve the goal of learning. The issue of how to best educate our non-native speaker students spread out and need to be answered, but it must take into account the local condition of Indonesia, in term of students, teachers, and community.

The focus of research shed the light on the process of making bilingual educational game tools (APE), the development, and the use for teaching materials. The researcher used development research (R&D) which adopts the ADDIE development model. The contribution of the results of this study is expected to increase the knowledge of teachers or prospective teachers and parents about the design of bilingual educational game tools, implementation of learning, and evaluation of learning for the introduction of English as well as being an alternative choice of teaching materials/APE media which can be used in the classroom and at home by teachers, parents and children.
