Abstract

Abstract

Technology cannot be separated from almost all aspects of life including education. Students now are digital natives whose activities use modern technology. Therefore, teaching and learning process require the use of technology to meet the students’ needs. Student teachers are candidate teachers who will teach digital natives. It is important to know their readiness in using technology while conducting teaching practice at school. This article is based on the research which aims at finding out data and knowing how far students are ready to teach English using technology.  The subjects of research were students who have conducting teaching practise at school. They were 47 students. An open-ended questionnaire was used to collect data. The data was then analysed qualitatively. The findings show that student teachers are ready in implementing technology when teaching English. They have no problems with the technology except problem of connection.
