Abstract


Evaluation is a systematic process of determining the extent to which instructional objectives are achieved by the students. Carefully collected evaluation data helped teachers understand the learners, plan learning experience and determine the extent of which the instructional objectives are being achieved. This research is aimed to analyse the English summative test validity used by SMA Yaspita Serpong Utara. It consists of (1) the English material displayed within the English summative test used at SMA Yaspita, (2) the English material coverage by English summative test appropriateness to the content standard of the latest syllabus suggested, and (3) the validity of English summative test. The purpose of this research is to describe the content and construct validity of the English summative test. The subjects include the English teacher and the students of SMA Yaspita. This research is a descriptive analysis method by using English summative test paper. This findings of the research stated the content and construct validity of English summative test at SMA Yaspita of second grade students reached sufficient content validity.
