Abstract
This study tries to portray the EFL teachers’ perceptions mainly of English learning time policy at the secondary level in Indonesia. By employing the descriptive qualitative inquiry, this study utilizes open questionnaires to gather the demanded data in accordance to the research questions. The open questionnaires intended to the English secondary school teachers in Tulungagung. In addition, this study emphasizes on three significance points related to teachers’ opinion of English learning time policy; how teachers manage the classroom and its impacts towards educational practices and English medium of instructions. The results of the study indicate both teachers’ agreement and disagreement toward the English learning time policy at the secondary level. The second findings show that teachers allocate by prioritizing the English material. While the English learning time policy hampered teachers to promote speaking skill.
