Abstract


The study aimed to explain the implementation of differentiated Instruction in schools to enhance students’ creativity. Differentiated instruction was an approach implemented by teachers as activator teachers (Guru Penggerak) in Sidoarjo. This was a qualitative case study with observation and interview data collection techniques. The research subjects were two activator teachers; one was from Elementary School and the other was from Junior High School. The result showed that teachers have implemented differentiated instructions in two ways; differentiation of content and product. The instructional process made the students more creative than before since they enjoyed the instructional activities and assessment process. They could express their ideas freely and happily in accomplishing assessment tasks. The suggestion for other researchers as they need to investigate the effectiveness of differentiated instruction on a specific subject.
