This study observes EFL poems produced by learners of EFL creative writing class in the English Letters Department, Universitas Sanata Dharma, Yogyakarta. Under the theme Covid 19, instead of seeing the current situations as threats, learners are triggered to utilize them to express their identities. The various backgrounds of the learners, the theme may be interpreted differently, producing different voice. The various positions of the narrators in the EFL poems are the reflections of the learners’ multifaceted identities. To conclude, through EFL poems on Covid 19, learners are empowered as they are able to produce works of literature appropriate in standard for a creative writing class in the new era.
