Strategies Used by EFL Teacher to Improve Classroom Interaction

Abstract


The study aims to find out strategies used by the teacher in improving classroom interaction in EFL context. The research method used was qualitative. The data was collected by through an interview with EFL teacher. The result revealed that the teacher used both teacher talk and student talk to improve interaction in the classroom. The teacher also emphasized the use of group work to promote independent learner as it enables students to develop both academic and social skills.
