IMPROVING STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY MASTERY IN MERDEKA BELAJAR KAMPUS MERDEKA (MKBM) CURRICULUM THROUGH QUIZALIZE GAME BASED LEARNING

Abstract


The Minister of Education launched the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum in early 2020 and provides teachers to choose any learning method which allows more innovation. The purpose of this research is to investigate the use of Quizalize  in teaching students' vocabulary mastery. The subject of the research was 120 students at the second grade from SMA Bruderan Purwokerto.  This study was  quasi experimental project. The students from Science Class was experimental group  who were taught in their teaching and learning process by using Quizalize. Then the other class which comes from social class was being the control group. The instrument used to collect the data were tests which consist of pre-test and post-test. The data of scoring through analytical method was analyzed by using t-test formula.  The result shows that the students’ vocabulary mastery is improving by using quizalize. When the pre-test is compared to the post-test, the mean score increases significantly.
