Abstract

This abstract presents a proposal for establishing the Golden English-UNSIKA TESOL Community, a non-profit initiative aimed at enhancing English education in Karawang, West Java. It has two primary goals: to provide pedagogical training for local English teachers and to prepare University of Singaperbangsa's English Education students for international teaching roles. The initiative arises from the disparity between opportunities for Filipino and Indonesian English teachers to teach abroad. It seeks to empower Indonesian teachers through contemporary training, fostering a cohort of internationally recognized educators. Additionally, the proposal aims to enhance the pedagogical skills of experienced instructors within the community. Comprising diverse educational backgrounds, community members will conduct training sessions in Karawang and offer supplementary classes to university students. These efforts aim to achieve the defined objectives and create a lasting, positive influence in education. The outcomes of the community's work will be reported and published after one year.
