This research paper dwelt on identifying a reading training plan that could enhance the teaching of reading among Special Education teachers. The results of an earlier study by the authors were utilized in this project. The study has developed a training plan which intended to make the teachers handling reading effective. Various methodologies and strategies were included in the training design were assessed by experts. Overall, the developed training plan has excellently met the standards needed by the participant’s skills and knowledge of different reading strategies. This research makes the recommendation that school administrators and instructors follow this training plan to keep them current on their teaching practices to suit the requirements of the children, particularly in the appropriate application of reading skills.
