Abstract


The gamification creates more engaging learning experiences for the students in the digital era. This research aims to develop a prototype of 3D interactive computer game which is based on desktop and includes General English material. The development of this prototype is based on Research and Design method (R&D) which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) stages. The software used in designing this application is the Unity game engine. The data gathered by doing the literature study, surveys using questionnaires and interviews. A 3D interactive game called " The Legend of Dewi Rengganis" was designed. The content of the game was inspired by the Story of Dewi Rengganis as one of the local folklores in Indonesia. Material and functional testings will be carried out to see whether this game can be run properly. The application motivated the students significantly in studying English vocabulary.
