Translanguaging is employed as a pedagogical practice where bilingualism figures promimently.It enables in acquiring inter cultural tolerance and appreciation.One may come across multilingual speakers fusing their languages for better communication.Here, bilingualism does not operate as two distinct language systems but as a unified mode of expression.Encompassing code-switching translanguaging may be viewed as a fuid process of responding to social and cultural constraints encountered in choice of languages for communication.This practice accepts use of L1 and L2 of students in class rooms.It helps in maximizing comprehension and offers scaffold to better communication.In Anglophone contexts translanguaging is used more vigorously tp preserve and propagate major global languages like English.
