Abstract

Language education in the era of technological advancement has transcended traditional boundaries, allowing for innovative instructional design. With the emergence of large language models, a new paradigm of blended learning environments with AI co-teaching has arisen. This paper investigates a pressing problem within modern pedagogy: How can human educators and artificial intelligence work together to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes in language education? Previous research has laid foundational work in blended learning, yet integrating AI as co-teachers presents a novel, unexplored dimension. An imperative to address this inquiry stems from AI co-teaching's potential revolution to language education, filling a research gap and applying fresh analytical perspectives. The synergies between human educators and AI models, ethical considerations, and impact on learning outcomes are examined through argumentative review and theoretical analysis. Findings reveal implications for teaching methodologies, ethical practices, and educational accessibility.
