Distance language learning systems pose unique challenges in the preparation of practicum program for the students who take course on translation.  Permanent separation between students and institution which lead to the absence of face-to-face meeting requires the different approach to the development of the course.

This paper is an attempt to propose an alternative approach in dealing with the problems in aforementioned practicum course as UT students have  unique characteristics such as living in sparce geographical areas and  different access to internet due to its quality.
