Genshin Impact is a popular online game in recent years. Its popularity comes with the complexity and beauty of the visual since it is able to maintain its identity as fantasy but preserve the culture that exists in the real world. This research’s objection is to analyse what references Genshin takes to be able to maintain its fantasy world while referring to real world culture and how it is able to make players feel familiar or stay playing it. The researcher uses a multisemiotic approach to conduct the research. Using qualitative methods, the data will be in a form of visual representation of in-game and real life. The result shows that Genshin indeed takes references from the real world and implements some of the culture in the game, making it not only satisfying to play but also good for introducing cultures to players worldwide.
