Abstract

Digital learning material (DLM) is known to be handy and abundantly available in the era of information technology. Extensively used to sustain instruction during Covid19 crisis, 396 EFL teachers’ intention and use of DLM after the pandemic was investigated using the framework of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). Confirmatory factor analysis resulted in acceptable factor loadings, validity, and reliability of the instrument. In addition, analysis of covariance structure demonstrated good fit indices of the model (CMIN/DF= 1.62 (<3), SRMR=0.038 (<0.09), RMSEA=0.039 (<0.08), CFI=0.974 (>0.90), and TLI=0.971 (>0.90). This study concluded that UTAUT could account 79.7% of behavioural intention and 59.2% of its actual use. The empirical findings suggest policy makers to accommodate multi-dimensional teacher belief systems, including supporting facilities and behavioural intention before its use.
