Abstract

The current        study analyzes the Lesson Plans (LPs) designed by the English teachers taking part in the PPG (Pendidikan Profesi Guru). The formulation of learning objectives, the teaching and learning activities, and the assessments or exercises often still create burdens on the teachers, therefore, it is important to investigate. This study aims at examining the formulation and the alignment of the three mentioned elements of the teachers’ LPs. This document analysis deals with scrutinizing 60 EFL LPs using the Lesson Plan Analysis Table settled. The results of the analysis show the examples of how the three components under study are formulated, and how they are aligned or related to each other. They are categorized into ‘Perfectly Aligned’; ‘Imperfectly Aligned’; ‘Perfectly Unaligned’; and ‘Misalignment’.
