This study aims to determine the character education process applied in general at SMA Santo Yosef Pangkalpinang, to know the process of character education in learning mathematics applied in SMA Santo Yosef Pangkalpinang and knowing the effectiveness of character education through mathematics learning at SMA Santo Yosef Pangkalpinang. The research is descriptive qualitative research. The data used are the results of interviews, observation results and documents obtained by the school. The result of the research indicate that character education process applied in general at SMA Santo Yosef Pangkalpinang done in several stages that is preparation phase, implementation phase, and evaluation phase. For the process of character education through mathematics learning at SMA Santo Yosef Pangkalpinang done in several stages that is stage of character education planning to learners, stage of character education implementation to learners, evaluation phase of character education, and follow-up phase of organizing character building. For the effectiveness of character education through mathematics learning can be said to run effectively because of the support of the school against the implementation of character education, mathematics teachers who always provide insertion of character education through mathematics learning and the great desire of learners to develop a character education that has been received in school.
