Abstract

Physical Education, Sports and Health (PJOK) are subjects that demand an assessment of the psychomotor domain. Outcomes in education should include three domains, namely cognitive domain, affective domain, and psychomotor domain. In general, the students’ learning outcome is more focused on the cognitive domain, which is caused by the educators who do not understand how to determine the students’ psychomotor learning outcome. This study provides an overview of determining psychomotor learning outcome using performance appraisal techniques in PJOK subjects. Performance appraisal techniques consist of product assessment and process assessment. This study focused to the process assessment of PJOK subjects. This study employed a qualitative approach in the form of a study of documents related to performance appraisal and examples of assessment instruments for PJOK subjects. It was found that the type of assessment that was suitable for assessing PJOK subjects is a type of performance assessment in the form of a rubric. The methods that can be used are observation and marking the answer list.
