Abstract
This study aims to describe the application of religious character education in Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura Junior High School (SMP). This type of research is descriptive qualitative with the aim of describing the application of religious character education in Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura Middle School. The data in this study were obtained through observation and interviews with teachers at Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura Middle School. This research was conducted at Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura Middle School. Data analysis in this study uses interactive methods with stages: data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. The results showed the application of religious character education in Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta Middle School through: (1) Dhuha prayer, (2) Hadith reading after Dhuha prayer, (3) recitation of the Qur'anic verse, (4) the Quran reading and writing program (5) praying before learning, (6) praying after finishing learning, (7) shaking hands to Mr. / Mrs. teacher in the morning in front of the school gate, (8) congregational prayers during the midday and ashar prayers.
