Abstract

This qualitative research aims to look at the presence and concern of St. Maria Asumpta Babarsari Church towards the dynamics of the lives of young migrants, especially young Catholics from Eastern Indonesia around the parish area. By adopting a qualitative method and Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) approach, this research focuses on two main themes: the form of the Church's concern for conflict issues of Eastern Indonesian youth and the Church in the eyes of Eastern Indonesian youth. The findings show that the Church as a community of Christ's disciples is involved in realizing the civilization of love, a sign of the presence of the Kingdom of God. The real form of the civilization of love is to make the Church a comfortable home for young Catholics from Eastern Indonesia.
