Abstract
Discussing the Parable of the Good Samaritan, one of the main themes that can be discussed is the theology of cordiality ethics “his heart was moved with compassion”. This cordiality is revealed from the actions of a figure of good Samaritan. He helped a victim who needed a helping hand of compassion. The actions of the good Samaritan were certainly driven by his beliefs about cordiality. In the Council of Nicaea, the belief about God is summarized in homoousios. The belief about God in Jesus is God who is one in essence, God who is in cordial with human. This article will specifically discuss the beliefs or spirituality that moved this good Samaritan. That is very important to see ethics of actions. To find out this spirituality, the parable of the good Samaritan reveals the identity of God believed in by the Samaritans. The author uses the historical-critical analysis method. This analysis was carried out using library research. From this parable, the author finds that from the cordiality of the actions of the good Samaritan, their beliefs about God, among others: Almighty God transcends the limits of human identity and God who moves humans to do acts of love specially for the marginalized and suffering.
