Abstract

Rumah Khalwat Balai Budaya Rejosari (RKBBR) is a social movement of the Church rooted in the mission of preaching and reconciliation. Founded by the Congregation of the Missionaries of the Holy Family (MSF) in 2011 in Kudus, Central Java, RKBBR is a space for interfaith and intercultural dialogue in a heterogeneous society. Through an arts and culture-based approach, RKBBR facilitates inclusive and constructive encounters to foster peace and overcome the barriers of difference that are often the source of conflict.

As a social movement, RKBBR actively organizes various activities such as wayang performances, art studios, theater, and the environmental program "Ngangsu Banyu" which educates the community about the importance of preserving nature as part of faith and social responsibility. These activities not only create a space for cultural expression but also build solidarity and awareness of the importance of dialogue in life together.

Theologically, RKBBR reflects the Church's social teachings on justice, brotherhood, and respect for human dignity. The theological reflection that emerged from this movement emphasized that the proclamation of faith is not only through words, but also through real actions that fight for love, peace, and diversity. Thus, RKBBR becomes a model of how the Church is present in society through a contextual cultural approach, living the spirit of the Gospel in encounters with others, and realizing the Church as an agent of social transformation.
