Abstract

Concern for people with disabilities is often not given enough attention in social life as well as in church life. In this case, people with disabilities often do not get the opportunity to experience the ‘Grace of God’ and need to be accommodated for it. This research aims to relate the meaning of Luke 4:18-19 in the Jubilee of Charity faith celebration as stated in the KAMS Shepherd's Letter and its relevance to the live-in process of Projo KAMS Priest Candidates Social Service in SLB/B Karya Bakti Wonosobo. This research wants to examine whether the values strived for in KAMS are in line with the values obtained by the KAMS Projo Priest Candidates in the implementation of live-in in a place for serving people with disabilities. This research uses qualitative methods in the form of interviews by focusing on noble values from biblical and empirical perspectives. The data will be processed by the literature review method of Church documents, Scripture and the KAMS Bishop's Letter. This research shows that the values obtained by the KAMS Priest Candidates in the live-in at SLB/B Don Bosco are in line with the values upheld by the Archdiocese of Makassar, where they will serve in the future, and become the implementation of the passage of Luke 4:18-19. By systematically examining the biblical and pastoral theories, the KAMS Priest Candidates can both learn these noble values and apply them in the Archdiocese of Makassar in which they will serve
