Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic has brought humanities into a new way of normality. In Indonesia, there are new regulations for the learning process especially in EFL context, and demotivation is one of the challenges students face. There are numerous studies related to this matter, yet a minimum of studies conducted when it comes to online learning. This current study aims to explore demotivational experiences among students who are taking online classes during pandemic. The participants of the study will be EFL students in second and third-year who are studying English language education study program at Universitas Brawijaya. Since the researchers want to see the trend of students’ demotivation in learning English, survey study will be employed. A demotivation questionnaire will be administered to the participants. The researchers will adopt the questionnaire, so expert validation is not needed.
