Abstract


With the fact that language and culture are inseparable, this paper highlights the problem occurs regarding the intercultural competence of several people in the sample of communications. In the dynamics of globalization and the increasing of diversity in society, culture is considered to be more complex to understand by cross cultural communicators. In order to predict how far intercultural understanding implemented implicitly in English teaching around the world through some samples, this paper uses indicators such as global knowledge, open mindedness, social initiative, self-efficacy, and emotional stability. This study is conducted by observation using some online platforms that obliged the member to communicate in English as lingua franca. This paper is aimed to the realization of producing intercultural speakers as one of the goals of foreign language (FL) education especially English that can be successful in communicating with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and various situations.
