English is one of the international languages ​​used by the whole world in this country. English also has four skills, namely, speaking, writing, reading, and listening. In addition, speaking is a skill in English that is felt by students and lacks confidence when they speak a foreign language. This study aims to determine and measure the effectiveness of students' anxiety in speaking English in scientific writing class by students in English Education program. This research used a quantitative method. The researcher analyses the data that obtained is described in descriptive-quantitative form. The results show, there are some factors or reasons for the students who are afraid to speak in English due to concerns in communicating, as well as a fear of speaking English.
