Abstract


In learning English, surely cannot be separated from learning vocabulary. Vocabulary has a very important role in communication. It is one of the most important mastery in a language and also one of the important key elements in learning a foreign language. So, teachers need to have good teaching skills, be creative, fun, and easily understood by students. Using songs as a learning media has a positive and interesting impact on students. This research is descriptive qualitative. Open interviews with young students were used to collect the data. According to the findings, students need practical and interesting teaching methods so that they are able to integrate themselves into English by using songs that can make students attached to English. The application of media using songs has been proven to be able to develop young students' motivation in mastering vocabulary.
