Abstract

Biology is a subject that has many learning objects that are generally contextual and close to students' lives. However, there are some biological materials that are abstract and difficult for teachers to teach. For example, the material about the metabolic processes of class XII. This difficulty was felt by 5 high school biology teachers who were respondents in this study. They suggest that learning about metabolism material should use audio-visual media. Can help students understand the material well. The solution offered is to develop animated video-based learning media. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of animated learning videos in class XII for metabolic materials. This study uses the ADDIE model. The research was carried out up to the design stage. Validation is carried out by media and materials experts to assess the feasibility of the product. Validation of the material aspect got a score of 3.5, and the score of the material aspect was 3.6. Both scores state that the media developed is in the very good category. The decision, learning media can be used for the implementation phase on a limited basis based on improvements from the validator.
