A BLIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF EMERGING TRENDS IN RESEARCH ON CYBER ATTACKS ON FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING SYSTEMS
Last modified: 2024-07-23
Abstract
This research examines cybersecurity in financial accounting systems, highlighting a significant increase in the number of publications from 2014 to 2023, with a peak in 2023. The United States and India are the main contributors to this research. Technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and blockchain are often used to detect and overcome cyberattacks. The research also emphasizes the importance of early detection and prevention, as well as challenges in cyber-physical systems that require a proactive approach. The impacts of cyberattacks include financial losses and market stability, emphasizing the need for strong cybersecurity. Collaboration between researchers is increasing, with some researchers becoming centers of collaboration. The development of cyber resilience strategies is important to protect sensitive financial data. Bibliometric analysis helps understand research trends, identify gaps in research, and the need for more specific approaches to address cyber threats in financial accounting systems.
