Abstract
In the reality of a plural society, it is important for the Church to find relevant ways to fulfill its mission in dialogue with other religions. The word 'srawung' which in Javanese can be interpreted as 'gathering, sharing a sense’ of being used by the Church, especially in the Semarang Archdiocese area to instill dialogue between people with local culture. The purpose of writing this paper is to see how far the ‘Srawung lintas Iman’ activities initiated by the Archdiocese of Semarang can ground the term ‘srawung’ as an effort to nurture interfaith brotherhood among people and see how religious dialogue is formed in these activities. This paper using descriptive qualitative research with literature and interviews. The results of the study state that this ‘Srawung Lintas Iman’ activity can be a strategic step that can be used to seek the realization of contextual encounters and engagement actions between religious communities. The term ‘srawung’ has become better known for instilling inter-religious dialogue in the Javanese context, so that in the moments of encounter and involvement that are formed, inter-religious dialogue is created. including life dialogue and action dialogue
