Abstract
In the midst of various acts of destruction of the earth that resulted in an environmental crisis, various educational institutions that practice ecological education need to be appreciated. This qualitative research aims to explore the practice of environmental education at Prennthaler Elementary School, Kulon Progo. Data were collected through interviews with 3 teachers. Sallie McFague's thoughts on caring for the earth were used as a framework for data analysis. This research produced data that the habituation of caring for the earth fosters an attitude of solidarity and care. They have the habit of caring for the earth in their daily lives. The students recognize various types of plants and the benefits of these plants for human life. Teachers and students help each other to plant vegetables, raise goats that produce organic fertilizer, explain various types of vegetables to guests who visit the school and sell plants to meet school needs.
