Abstract
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (type 2 DM) is a type of diabetes with high blood glucose due to the body's cells not being able to use insulin properly. DM is a disease that requires management and treatment that lasts for a long time and continuously. This becomes a stress-inducing factor that causes DM patients to become tired, bored and bored. This condition results in patients becoming non-compliant in carrying out treatment. This study aims to determine the relationship between stress levels and compliance in type 2 DM patients at the Ngemplak II Health Center, Sleman Regency. This study was an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional approach involving 69 research subjects using purposive sampling technique and was conducted from August to September 2024. Univariate data analysis using percentages and bivariate using the Somers'd test with the help of the SPSS program. The results showed that 59.42% of respondents had a moderate level of stress and 56.52% of respondents had a moderate level of compliance and there was a significant relationship between stress levels and compliance in patients with type 2 DM at the Ngemplak II Health Center, Sleman Regency with a r value of 0.000 (value r <0.005).
