Abstract

Interactive research, which emphasizes collaboration between researchers and practitioners to facilitate mutual learning, plays a vital role in producing knowledge that is both practical and scientifically grounded in addressing real-world problems. This approach is particularly beneficial in supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17: Partnerships for the Goals. This study aims to demonstrate the potential of interactive research in contributing to SDG 17 by providing empirical evidence of its implementation through a case study of digital transformation at Credit Union Kridha Rahardja (CUKR). The research adopts an appreciative inquiry approach to guide the stages of interactive research, utilizing primary data collected from focus group discussions and interviews, as well as secondary data from relevant documents. The interactive research process developed in this study consists of five stages: (1) establishing mutual agreement on research objectives and a clear division of roles between the researchers and CUKR practitioners; (2) discovery, which involves identifying existing strengths and potentials within CUKR; (3) dream, which focuses on envisioning a desired future state of the organization; (4) design, which entails formulating and developing solutions based on the findings from the discovery phase; and (5) destiny, which translates the designed solutions into concrete actions.
