SYNCHRONISATION OF FOOD SECURITY BUDGETS AND UTILISATION OF VILLAGE ASSETS AS AN EFFORT FOR SELF-SUFFICIENT FOOD BASED ON RURAL GREEN ECONOMY
Last modified: 2025-09-22
Abstract
The existence of village land (carik) is expected to contribute to rural economic activities. Different conditions show that carik land is often recorded as an asset, but is unproductive. Food security programs can stimulate the utilization of arid land, which was originally less productive, to become more productive. Likewise, the use of village assets can support the success of food security in rural areas. The research was conducted in Muntuk Village, Bantul Regency, an international award-winning village for "Food Independence." Purwasaba Village in Banjarnegara Regency is a village area that has successfully developed a system of integrating animal and plant food security under the Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) management. This research uses a qualitative methodology with a modified case study approach that follows the social context of the village. Data collection methods use field observation techniques by visiting and directly observing the research location. In-depth interviews are an open question-and-answer mechanism between researchers and informants. This research produces a form of utilization of fixed assets. These village budget funds are integrated with food security activities while maintaining environmental balance for the sustainability of the rural green economy.
