Abstract
In the Council of Nicaea, the understanding of Christ focused on His divinity and His relationship with God the Father. In this council it was determined that Christ is Homoousios with the Father, which means having the same nature as God. In the context of this era, teachings developed, namely not only teachings about Christ, but how people directly experience the presence of Christ. So this study aims to understand how the subjects, namely OMK (Young Catholics) feel or experience personal experiences with Christ. For them, who is Christ and how is the manifestation of their faith in Christ in everyday life in the current development situation. The researcher bases it on a phenomenological approach, especially through IPA (Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis). This approach may be simple, but it can obtain detailed and reliable understanding from the subjects directly. This procedure focuses on the subject's experience of their personal experience of Christ in everyday life. The subjects in the study consisted of 6 OMK from the Parish of the Virgin Mary Regina Purbowardayan, Surakarta.
Based on the research results, the researcher found that the experiences felt by the subjects towards the figure of Christ consisted of 2 large parts: Personal relationship with Christ and the manifestation of Christ's love in life. This experience is expected to provide OMK with the provision of strength or spirituality in living their lives, especially in the current situation of development. In Christ, OMK lives and is useful. The hope is that the current generation of OMK is truly able to believe in Christ and feel the impact of Christ's presence in themselves as a provision in living their lives in today's world which is full of challenges of the times.
