Abstract
This research aims to explain the concept of the Divine in the religious belief of Kaharingan practiced by the Ngaju Dayak tribe in Central Kalimantan. Through qualitative research, the study delves into the existence of Ranying Hatalla Langit within the context of Kaharingan. Four key aspects are examined: 1) Biblis: The Kaharingan holy scriptures serve as the primary source of knowledge about Ranying Hatalla Langit, containing teachings and stories related to the Divine concept. 2) Kandayu (chants): Chants play a significant role in Kaharingan, and the study analyzes those related to Ranying Hatalla Langit, encompassing praises, prayers, and sacred songs portraying divine aspects. 3) Enthronement of kings: Kaharingan's distinctive feature is the appointment of kings as spiritual leaders, and this research explores their role in understanding Ranying Hatalla Langit and fulfilling religious functions. 4) Rituals: The study focuses on Kaharingan rituals to understand how Ranying Hatalla Langit is practiced in the daily lives of the Ngaju Dayak tribe. This research contributes to knowledge about the beliefs and spiritual practices of the Ngaju Dayak tribe, enriching our understanding of religious diversity in Indonesia.
