Abstract
This study stems from an awareness of various forms of environmental damage and ecological crises that demand a profound and concrete response of faith. Pope Francis' encyclical Laudato Si' calls for ecological conversion by viewing the earth as a shared home that must be cared for with love and responsibility. In the light of Franciscan spirituality, St. Francis of Assisi's Canticle of the Creatures reveals the unity of all creation as brothers and sisters in the love of the Creator. This study aims to interpret the meaning of the Canticle of the Creatures for the care of the earth as a common home according to Laudato Si' in the context of the Church in Indonesia. The method used is a qualitative approach with literature study and interpretive analysis of the text of the Canticle of the Creatures, the Laudato Si' document, and other relevant sources. The results of the study show that Franciscan spirituality provides a theological and ethical basis for responsible ecological living practices in the human community and all creation.
