Abstract
Ethical awareness in the relationship between humans and nature is a crucial aspect in facing today's ecological challenges. Nature is not merely an object of exploitation, but rather a living entity with intrinsic value and a crucial role in the sustainability of human life. This research method highlights the urgency of building ethical awareness embedded in the values of responsibility, empathy, and ecological well-being through various observations and literature studies. In this context, environmental ethics is not only normative but also transformative, inviting every human being to consciously reflect on their relationship with nature in a more just and sustainable manner. Environmental education, spirituality, and local wisdom are important means of forming contextual ethical awareness that touches every aspect of the human inner self. In this regard, indigenous communities, for example, have long developed a moral awareness of ecology through traditions that respect natural cycles and maintain the balance and sustainability of ecosystems. This approach certainly inspires a new paradigm that positions nature as a moral subject, not just a resource. By building ethical awareness, humans are invited to change exploitative mindsets to lifestyles that are in harmony with nature by developing an approach to moral awareness regarding environmental sustainability. This includes changes in attitudes, behaviors, and policies that favor poverty. This awareness is not just about knowledge, but also a collective commitment to caring for the earth as our shared home.
