Abstract
Character is a very important element in a story. Dynamic characters or changing characters are characters who can build a dramatic relationship between the plot and the story. In this study, the object studied was the character Walter White from the Breaking Bad TV series. The purpose of this study was to identify changes in Walter White's character and the motivations for these character changes using Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Theory. The research method that is used in this research is qualitative research method. The type of research used is descriptive. This research examines all episodes (S01E01-S05E16) in the Breaking bad TV series. The result of the research is that Walter White experienced five stages of character changes and each of these character changes was influenced by different needs. P The most visible changes from Walter White are morals, honesty, attitude, focus, and courage. In each season, the changes shown by Walter White are increasingly extreme and every change in Walter White's character is influenced by different Needs.
