THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TEACHERS PEDAGOGICAL AND PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES, AND STUDENT MOTIVATION WITH THE SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MERDEKA CURRICULUM

Abstract


This study aims to determine the relationship between: (1) teacher pedagogical competence and the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum; (2) teacher professional competence and the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum; and (3) student motivation and the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.  The research approach is quantitative. The type of research is correlational research.  The research was conducted in Class X of SMAN 6 Yogyakarta. The total research population was 288 people and the total research sample was 165 people. The sampling technique is simple random sampling. The data collection method is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique is Spearman Rank correlation analysis. The results showed that: (1) there is a relationship between teacher pedagogical competence and the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum (sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000); (2) there is a relationship between the teacher's professional competence and the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum (sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000); and (3) there is a relationship between student motivation and the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum (sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000).
