Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has shifted educational paradigms around the world, accelerating the adoption of distance learning technology. This article discusses the development of interactive and effective remote laboratories for the future of engineering education. This laboratory is designed to provide practical experiences that are close to real conditions without requiring physical presence on campus, using IoT (Internet of Things) technology, simulation software and online learning platforms. By utilizing hardware such as Arduino, ESP8266, and ESP32, as well as software such as Proteus, Wokwi, LabVIEW, and Node-RED, this laboratory allows students to conduct real-time experiments from different locations. Cloud-based platforms such as Adafruit IO, Arduino IoT Cloud and Firebase support remote visualization and control as well as data storage and processing. Through trials on several student groups, this laboratory has been proven to increase understanding of technical concepts, student involvement and learning independence. Thus, this distance laboratory has the potential to become an interactive and effective learning model in the future to improve student competence.
