The Tung Piong tradition is a valuable treasure from the cultural heritage of the past to the people of Maumere, especially the Sikka region or tribe. In carrying out the Tung Piong ritual there are deep spiritual values contained in it. In preparing this article, the aim is to further explore and understand the spiritual depth and other values in this tradition. The purpose of writing this paper is to explore the value of wholeness between humans and their connection with their ancestors who have died. This research highlights the fact that the Tung Piong tradition is still closely held by the local community and remains alive today. So researchers also have the desire that this research can become an effort and means of preserving the Tung Piong ritual culture as a wealth of Indonesian society. In preparing this article, researchers used research methods including literature studies to understand the historical aspects and context of the Tung Piong tradition, as well as interviews with tradition holders and community leaders who are involved in preserving and caring for this cultural heritage. With this approach, this article attempts to provide a comprehensive picture of how important the Tung Piong tradition is to society and how its relationships remain strong to this day.
